A Rose by Any Other Name...

There was a surprise waiting for me when I got home from work- Guinness' registration papers!

I was beginning to worry that they would not come. Ed wondered why they were even necessary- it's not like I am planning to show him and the breeding thing is off the table. But I paid a lot for a well bred registered dog and I wanted his papers.

I opened the envelope and I started to laugh.

You see, a few months ago the breeder said that I needed to pick a name for his papers that started with 'A'. All of the puppies had to be registered that way. I remember giving a few names but saying it really didn't matter as long as Guinness was his second name.

So here is what arrived today:

I give you 'Awesome Guinness Von Narnia.'

That's right. My Guinness is officially awesome.

He's getting a big head over it.

That's Mr. Awesome if you please

    1. He was bred at 'Narnia Kennels' hence the 'Von Narnia' part. It's quite the handle for a farm dog.

  11. Ahahaha! Love it. Narnia Kennels is such a cool kennel name. Ironically, I just finished registering Taiga this morning. I never put Kenai's papers into the system but decided what the heck with Taiga. She's got an A start to her name, too, but only because I had to make her name bigger to be registered. She's Appalachian Taiga.

  12. 😂 Congratulations! I love quirky dog names. My lab, Maggie, had Moosamus in her lines, so she was Maggie Mae Moosamus. I remember laughing when her papers arrived, too. That was 11 years ago. Time flies. Our dogs give us so much.
