How could you think such a thing? |
Winter has decided to have one last hurrah and it's putting a serious crimp in my plans. The lesson I had booked today had to be cancelled.
Stupid weather keeping me from this |
Bleh.
Today I thought I might be able to squeeze a ride in between the snow but it started to rain around 8 and then turned to snow.
So I made cookies.
Ginger cookies for the humans |
Because nothing says 'I give up and I'm just going to get fat -so screw you winter' like baking cookies.
And since I don't want to get fat all by myself I decided to try baking cookies for the ponies.
I know that it just looks like hamburger but it's basically oats, carrots and molasses. |
Good, Guinness!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is a good dog. We had a bit of an issue of 'I'll come when I want' but we seem to have worked through it.
DeleteAt least DST is coming soon.
ReplyDeleteI know! But it needs to bring some warm sunshine with it.
DeleteThe cookies definitely were a bit! They'd probably like the ginger cookies too. (Mine like pretty well any kind of cookie they are offered - horse or human.)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea. I wonder what they would think?
DeleteMy girls started shedding early and I was so excited...and then all we've had since is of cold + wind + wintry mix. Yuck. I totally hear ya!
ReplyDeleteMarch just likes to mess with everyone's head. Both of mine are shedding too.
DeleteUgh I'm sorry. This weather seriously needs to chill out so it becomes safe to haul !!! Cmon spring!!! The cookies look great tho - definitely a reasonable alternative ;)
ReplyDeleteThe weather needs to smarten up and Charlie needs to knock it off.
DeleteThe weather here sucks too. Hopefully, Spring will arrive soon and melt the 20 something inches of snow we got over the last two weeks with more on the way!
ReplyDelete20"????!!! Ugh. You win.
DeleteWet rain/snow is the worst! We still have a couple feet of snow here. The idea of actually seeing the ground seems far away :P
ReplyDeleteEvery glove and mitten I own is sodden. We had very little snow this winter so this is a bit of a slap in the face!
DeleteI feel your pain. This winter has been brutal and never ending!
ReplyDeleteYup. In a perfect universe we could go south for Winter...
DeleteThat kind of weather would make anyone cranky 🙁 hurry up spring!
ReplyDeleteSee- I knew I was justified!! LOL
DeleteUgh, I feel this so much!!
ReplyDeleteWe have SO MUCH SNOW STILL.
I saw your photos- you have more than us for sure.
DeleteGinger cookies are very popular with our horses -- but I'll have to try the horse ones you made. I'm sure that they would be even more popular. What a good boy Guinness is -- and how adorable with snow on his face.
ReplyDeleteI tried out the ginger cookies last night- they were deemed 'okay' but they both preferred the horse cookies.
DeleteThis weather is gross. It won’t stop raining. I can handle cold (well kinda) but 49 and raining is awful.
ReplyDeletethere is nothing more chilling than a cold rain
DeleteWe finally got some winter weather, lots of rain every week. It means more canceled lessons but I dunno I'm strangely ok with it (probably because I like rain!)
ReplyDeleteI will say that San Diego rain and March rain in Canada are two very different beasts. The whole winter have been very very gray- I don't mind rain/fog but this is a bit much.
DeleteUGH. I'm even thinking past spring to summer, because spring will just bring more rain!
ReplyDeleteThat is true- right now I'll take it!
DeleteAs much as I do enjoy winter - I'm right there with you! I'd just like some more sunshine at this point. Argh.
ReplyDeleteWe totally need some sun now.
DeleteI am definitely ready for the weather to turn for the better. The back and forth is killing me.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. Soon It will be full on spring and then summer. Then all will be right in the equestrian world haha
