It reminds me of Alaska....I love your winter posts. It reminds me of Alaska. I hated and loved the snow. A cold winter with lots of snow meant good winter riding. If we had a late snow the ground was frozen too hard to ride on. If we had mid winter warm ups the snow would get punchy and dangerous to soft tissue. If it was cold all winter there is nothing that compares to tearing through powdery snow. On the flip side there were mroe than a few days where it was -50 F (-45 C) when you factored in wind chill.I remember shoveling Bre's paddock flat only to have three feet covering it by the end of the day.
